BBB Scam Tracker is a free online prevention and recovery tool that enables consumers and businesses to report any scams they have encountered, regardless of whether they lost money.
The reports are reviewed, vetted, and subsequently published on the site to prevent others from falling prey to similar cons. In 2024 alone, the site had over 5.4M views, and it helped people save an estimated $43M by avoiding scams (according to survey participants). The platform allows users to quickly check out suspicious URLs, emails, and phone numbers from text messages they’ve received, search their ZIP code for scams reported in their community, and much more. BBB Scam Tracker was voted Best Scam Fighting Tool by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance.
