Meet Alysse Bortolotto – Director of Small Business Programs
BBB Institute is excited to welcome Alysse Bortolotto as the Director of Small Business Programs. With over 20 years of experience in economic development and small business growth, Alysse is a passionate advocate for early-stage entrepreneurs and brings deep expertise in building inclusive, data-driven strategies for success.
Prior to joining the Institute, Alysse served as Vice President of the Emerging Enterprise Center, a business incubator within the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. During her tenure, the center helped launch over 85 businesses, supported the creation of nearly 1,000 jobs, and generated more than $187 million in state revenue. Her leadership has earned her multiple accolades, including being named one of Delaware’s Most Influential Leaders (2023, 2024, and 2025) and a Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 honoree.
At BBB Institute, Alysse will lead a high-impact 12-week accelerator program designed for small business owners. In partnership with local BBBs, the program will support underserved business owners — empowering them to grow with purpose, resilience, and integrity rooted in BBB’s standards for ethical business practices.
Fun fact: Alysse once awkwardly walked the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of The Conspirator, directed by Robert Redford!
